HERE COMES GOOD SAILING

Here Comes Good Sailing are a band that will pull at your heartstrings and invoke excitement in equal measure.

Having formed from the foundations of South Shields bands Minotaurs & The Dark Sky Singers, Here Comes Good Sailing are a completely different beast. 

Still echoes remain of the pop sensibility of bands such as Belle & Sebastian as is apparent in their song 'Jackdaw', a masterclass in songwriting, hook laden with a vocal melody that you'll end up singing subconsciously days after you've heard it. 

They couple pop songs with something altogether darker, 'Cemetery Fox' sounds like the aftermath of a Wild Western duel, banjo's and bar room pianos clunk along whilst the vocals beautifully harmonise a lament so tender that even the hardest heart will melt. Seek out this band as soon as you can.

Jonathan Sebastian Knight is a Scottish singer, songwriter and guitarist. With his recent eponymous solo shows Jonathan has quickly drawn comparisons with Jeff Buckley, Low, Sigur Ros, The Xx, Antony Heggarty, Josh T. Pearson and Bonnie 'Prince' Billy among others.
